Vintage Quilt Repair

 Do you have a vintage or family heirloom quilt that needs some repair?  As long as your quilt isn't too worn out or the majority of the fabric isn't too thin, I can repair your quilt!  To see quilts that I have repaired and my process, please scroll down.

Prices start at $150 for quilt repair as I repair quilts by hand and it is a very time consuming process.  Repairs that I do by hand are repairing seams, replacing torn or very worn patches and holes.  If you would like the batting replaced in your quilt that requires me to remove all the quilting to take the layers apart, replace the old batting with new,  then put the layers back together (quilt top, batting, and backing). I then quilt through all the layers using my domestic sewing machine following as much of the original quilting as I can.  I think machine quilting is stronger and more durable than hand quilting.  It is definitely faster, making it a more efficient and economical for both you and I.  Before starting any repairs on your quilt, I will physically look (no pictures please) at your quilt and give you a price for how much it will cost for me to repair your quilt, then you decide if you would like me to proceed with the repairs.  Prices vary due to how much damage needs to be repaired on your quilt.  If you decide not to proceed with the repairs, I will ship the quilt back to you and refund your deposit minus the cost of shipping it back to you.

Or , if your quilt is beyond repair, we can still use the better parts of the quilt to make pillows, table runners,  bears, cats, bins, or something else that we can figure out together.  To see things that I have made out of quilts that were beyond repair, please Click on the links below:

A deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required at the time of ordering all custom orders. The balance is due before the item is shipped to you or at the time of pick-up if we are meeting in person.
